Nabichum (Butterfly Nebula) (2017)

This work transport the viewer into multiple time and space that will explore daily rituals and dream-like experience of everyday that carries us from our own world. It is inspired by Nabichum (literally “Butterfly dance”) of Korean Buddhist dance for ritual service. I am interested in this specific type of Korean ritual dance because of its relation to its eternal cycle. Some simple actions are act, repeat and change very slowly. It is non-verbal expression that is for un-stratified condition.
